become more self-supporting.

Foundation Fundamentals

The ship is to be used for the following purposes:

A. Disaster Relief
To provide a platform for:

1. Transporting needed materials.
2. Transporting and providing for the care and lodging of workers.
3. Provide a base of operations for relief operations.
4. Offload water, electrical service, and fuel where needed.
5. Provide first response/stabilization medical services and
treatment.

B. Humanitarian/mission support
Provide the above listed services in a non-emergency situation.

C. Training
Provide in co-operation with universities, seminaries, and medical schools, a platform for training workers in various fields using “hands on” techniques.

D. Medical services
Provide health services to those in need, including heath screening, treatment compatible with available resources, and eye care and dental services.

E. Health education
Provide education to local people and health care givers, including disease management, proper testing and treatment of illnesses, well baby care, and AIDS/HIV protocols.

F. Water safety and testing

G. Evangelism
To the extent permitted by the organization funding that trip, evangelism and witnessing through personal contact, VBS type activities and Jesus film.

Long Term Goals

We ultimately intend to have four or five locations where these ships can operate in an “area” of operations. We would also anticipate in the long term to have the ships supported in some operations by one or more aircraft of various appropriate types.

The primary areas of operation would be the Caribbean, South and Eastern Africa, South Pacific, (with a possible additional ship between these two areas if warranted) and Alaska (serving Alaska, Western Canada and Eastern Russia).

These ships are most cost effective to keep in a defined area; therefore, they will meet the workers and crew and others in the region and then go to the area of operation.
