CAS: Working With Organizations

The purpose of the CAS Foundation is to provide a platform for education, humanitarian, medical assistance and disaster relief.

Because the CAS Foundation is organized for humanitarian benefits, we will offer unique logistical capabilities to both faith-based and secular groups to assist them in their efforts and thereby accomplish their humanitarian missions.

The only expense to these organizations will be a reimbursement of expenses incurred. Donations and volunteers are to be solicited to minimize the expenses to these organizations.

The ships are uniquely capable of assisting in disaster relief operations and will be maintained in a state of rapid-response operational readiness, including provision of safe water, electric power and fuel.   With a 13,000 mile unrefueled range, their operations scope is global.

The central goal of CAS is to permit organizational funds to be maximized so that monies can be focused on the core mission rather than transportation costs.

Versatile and Capable

How about safely weathering a hurricane? Operating in ice? The Foundation ship can do things that less capable ships could not attempt -- while comfortably housing and feeding 50 or more people, carrying several hundred tons of cargo and getting those people and that cargo to primitive, unimproved ports.

Load anything from a Jeep to an 18-wheeler to a modular home on the well deck -- and unload without any shore equipment. Need electric power ashore? Not a problem -- the ship's generating capacity can meet any reasonable need. No organization in the world operates ships that can meet -- let alone exceed -- these capabilities.

This is not an over-the-hill, worn-out cruise ship that requires large crews, tugs to move and elaborate shore equipment to support its movements. It is a working ship capable of getting things done where other, less capable ships, can't begin to go, let alone work.

The ship provides a secure base of operations in primitive areas, with communications, safe water, refrigeration and sanitary facilities. A fully-equipped modern medical clinic expands the ship's use and ability to make a difference for people who desperately need help.
